Feeding/Filling:
The bird feeder is designed as a single silo that can be filled with loose squirrel food by opening the roof at the front. The squirrels sit on the platform in front of the feeder and push the roof upwards to retrieve the nuts and other treats.
Cleaning:
To clean the squirrel feeder, simply lift the roof at the front and thoroughly sweep out the interior. The Plexiglas at the front can also be removed for this purpose. Then, wipe it down with a sponge and lukewarm water, and you're done.
Cleaning should be done at least twice a year in spring and autumn.
Special features:
Please note that our villas are painted with a weatherproof and bird-friendly water-based paint and may not be repainted! The smell of any thinner paint deters squirrels and also prevents them from being repainted later to refresh the color.
