The Swedish Bird Feeder is designed as a single silo that can be filled with loose bird seed by removing the plug-in roof. There's an opening at the bottom of the silo through which the loose bird seed flows out.

Cleaning:
First, sweep out the bird feeder by removing the attached roof with a broom. Next, wipe the interior with a sponge and lukewarm water (no detergent!), and you're done. Cleaning should be done at least twice a year, in spring and fall. The feeder should be filled especially during the colder months of the year.
Special features:
Please note that our bird houses are painted with a weatherproof and bird-friendly water-based paint and should not be repainted! The smell of any thinner paint deters birds and also prevents repainting to refresh the colors later.
