Cleaning:
To clean the nesting box, simply loosen the screws in the gable on the front and back. Remove the attached roof and first sweep the inside of the nesting box with a broom. Next, wipe the inside with a sponge and lukewarm water (no detergent!). Now you can replace the roof and reattach the two screws at the front and back, and you're done.
Cleaning should be done once after each hatching session. Observe the house for a few days beforehand to make sure no guests are staying there.
Special features:
Please note that our bird houses are painted with a weatherproof and bird-friendly water-based paint and should not be repainted! The smell of any thinner paint deters birds and also prevents repainting to refresh the colors later.
