Construction:
The bird villa is delivered as shown including a 130 cm long pole made of larch wood.
The pole consists of two parts that simply need to be slotted together. If necessary, the two parts can be secured with a screw (not mandatory). To install the birdhouse, use a hammer to drive the pole approximately 10-15 cm into the ground at the desired location so that it stands securely (place a wooden board on top of the pole to prevent the hammer from damaging the pole head). Next, simply place the birdhouse onto the pole by gently twisting it.
Our quality features:
• bird-friendly, odorless & weatherproof paint
• Roof and poles (for standing bird houses) made of larch wood, body made of spruce wood
• exclusively wood from sustainable cultivation (Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg)
• galvanized roof sheet (protection against water)
• Completely screwed (nothing glued)
• hand-painted with a brush (not with a fiber pen) and freehand without stencils
• standing houses always include the larch wood pole (plug-in device available in the house)
• Hanging houses always include suspension and metal hooks
• Houses with large openings are made of weatherproof three-layer panels (wood does not crack)
• In nesting boxes, the wood inside is intentionally not sanded smooth (birds can hold on better)
• rustic finish (wood not completely sanded smooth)
• we only process solid wood (no glued wood)
Cleaning:
To clean the nesting box, simply remove the attached roof and sweep the inside of the birdhouse with a broom. Next, wipe the inside with a sponge and lukewarm water (no detergent!). Now you can replace the roof, and you're done.
Cleaning should be done once after each hatching session. Observe the house for a few days beforehand to make sure no guests are staying there.
Special features:
Please note that our bird houses are painted with a weatherproof and bird-friendly water-based paint and should not be repainted! The smell of any thinner paint deters birds and also prevents repainting to refresh the colors later.
